School psychologists support students' ability to learn and teachers' ability to teach. They apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. They are responsible for evaluating students with disabilities. School psychologists are always willing to help students who are experiencing any concerns or problems related to school, home, family, friends, or whatever the concern may be. Additionally, school psychologists help in crisis situations including abuse, and threat or actual physical harm to self or others.
